Over the past few months I have become a crazed fan of the BBC show Big Cat Diary. The big cat that got me hooked on the show was Amber the cheetah. Her struggle to raise her three cubs in the 1998 series caused me to become obsessed with cheetahs and even read Randall L. Eaton's complete book on them. Amber also inspired one of my original manga characters. This is my first drawing of Amber the cheetah, and it is modeled after the photograph "Amber, Looking Back" on the Official BBC Big Cat Diary Homepage. I have sent fan mail to the crew of Big Cat Diary, and I'm still waiting for a response.
