This drawing of Duchess comes from the scene where she first meets Thomas O'Malley the alley cat. Duchess was trying to find a way to get her kittens out of trouble when the smooth talking O'Malley approached and started hitting on her. His cheesy pick up lines caused her to say that he was very poetic, but "not quite Shakespeare."
I am having a harder and harder time finding screenshots from the Aristocats to draw things from. It's an older and less popular Disney movie, so the amount of online resources and fan sites seem to be extremely limited. I have now drawn a picture of Duchess based on just about every single Disney picture I have of her. Hopefully I will run across some more Duchess media soon so that I can keep drawing!
This drawing was originally done with a .05mm mechanical pencil with 2HB and 5H leads, darkened on the computer with Paint Shop Pro 3, and then colored with colored pencils. The lettering was added in with Paint Shop Pro 7.
