Duchess is another character that has had a lot of influence on my artwork. Her influence hasn't been on my manga artwork but rather my Tiggerman comic strips. I guess I had fallen in love with Duchess's personality. I was intrigued by the whole "uptown girl dates downtown guy" idea. When I went to a private highschool however, my dream was shattered. I, the middle class guy, was completely ignored by the rich girl students (for one reason or another). Despite this the dream still lives on in the Disney masterpiece that is Duchess. I had always wanted to draw her, and I finally had the guts to attempt it. The Disney style is very different from my own, so I had to put a lot of effort into making it look authentic.
