This drawing comes from the scene were Foxy, Carrack, and Vic are discussing whether or not Foxy could stay with them. Vic had found Foxy trapped in a farmer's cage and had rescued her the night before. I have always loved "saving damsels in distress" scenarios, so this scene was right up my alley. I drew this picture while on vacation in Atlanta, Georgia, and had to wait until I got back to college a week later to color it. It was well worth the wait though. Because I didn't have my fancy video capture card to take screenshots for me to draw from, I had to get stills of Foxy the blue-collar way, the "pause" button on the VCR! Because the VCR would shut off after about two minutes on pause I had to keep rewinding and re-pausing the paticular frame I was drawing. This stretched the time it took for the rough pencil work to nearly 3 hours! This drawing is actually based on two different frames from the movie, one which was a face close-up, and the other of her whole body. I put a lot of work into this cute little vixen!
This drawing was done on 80lb. medium surface Strathmore drawing paper. For the rough pencil work I used a .05mm mechanical pencil with 5H lead. I used 2HB lead for line darkening. The result was cleaned up and darkened with Paint Shop Pro 3. The print out was on standard fax/copy paper and was colored with Crayola colored pencils. The lettering was added with Paint Shop Pro 7.02.
